MYCOPLASMAS
Mycoplasmas are atypical bacteria that live as intra- or extracellular parasites. Mycoplasmas can be transmitted through aerosols (M. pneumoniae, M. fermentans, both of which are found in the saliva); sexual transmission is also frequent (M. genitalium).
