High-sensitivity C-reactive Protein (hs-CRP)
C-reactive protein (CRP) is a biomarker of inflammation. Plasma CRP concentrations increase rapidly and dramatically (100-fold or more) in response to tissue injury or inflammation.
Serum-based tests : 2 ml SERUM. Centrifuge immediately after clotting. Keep at ambient temperature or 4°C for 24h. For longer periods, aliquot, freeze and ship frozen.
High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) is more precise than standard CRP when measuring baseline (i.e., normal) concentrations and enables a measure of chronic inflammation.
Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease and hs-CRP has been endorsed by multiple guidelines as a biomarker of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk.
Please kindly note that for all the tests that are done in our partner labs in the USA, a full prepayment must be received before your sample is sent for testing.
Partner labs demand a full prepayment before the sample can begin to travel. Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
It will take approx. 4 weeks to get the results from all tests, except for MSA (6 weeks) and CD56 and CD57 (48 -72 hours).
